I was hired by the United Church in Walpole to update their visual identity as part of a larger effort to better reflect the vibrant community of the church. The UCW had been using a cross and leaf icon and the color green as their primary brand elements for many years. Through meetings with key stakeholders we determined that maintaining those core elements were important to many church members.
The "stained glass" pattern was introduced to highlight the church’s open and affirming nature. An alternate green companion version was designed as well for use in situations where the full color version is impractical or inappropriate. The bold graphic nature of the logo reproduces well in the wide range of applications needed by the church.
